Oben auf meiner Seite, unter dem Titel, steht der Satz:
"Dedicating your whole life to that one true moment, is worth a thousand lifetimes.“
Vielleicht hat sich der eine oder andere schon gefragt was es damit auf sich hat.
Es ist ein Zitat, bzw. eine freie Abwandlung eines Zitates von David Ackert.
David Ackert ist ein erfolgreicher Business und Marketing Spezialist, gleichzeitig Science Fiction Autor. Seine früheren Theatererfahrungen als Schauspieler schärften seinen Scharfsinn und seine Präsenz und machten ihn zu einem gefragten Redner.
Von ihm stammt folgender Text, den ich irgendwann von einer Kollegin bekam und der mir viel bedeutet:
"Actors are some of the most driven, courageous people on the face of the earth. They deal with more day-to-day rejection in one year than most people do in a lifetime. Every day, actors face the financial challenge of living a freelance lifestyle, the disrespect of people who think they should get real jobs, and their own fear that they'll never work again. Every day, they have to ignore the possibility that the vision they have dedicated their lives to is a pipe dream. With every role, they stretch themselves, emotionally and physically, risking criticism and judgment. With every passing year, many of them watch as the other people their age achieve the predictable milestones of normal life - the car, the family, the house, the nest egg. Why? Because actors are willing to give their entire lives to a moment - to that line, that laugh, that gesture, or that interpretation that will stir the audience's soul. Actors are beings who have tasted life's nectar in that crystal moment when they poured out their creative spirit and touched another's heart. Ich finde mich in diesen Worten, immer wenn ich sie lese, absolut wieder. Gleichzeitig strahlt aus ihnen soviel Verständnis und Respekt für unseren Beruf. Einfach gut.
All die (Existenz-) Ängste, die regelmäßige Ablehnung und der Verzicht auf so vieles was für die meisten Berufstätigen in unserer Gesellschaft selbstverständlich ist. Die Schwierigkeit Beziehungen aufrecht zu erhalten, das Leben aus dem Koffer in fremden Wohnungen...
All das für den Traum von diesem Beruf, der tatsächlich auch manchmal der schönste der Welt ist. David Ackert fasst es einfach gut zusammen.
Der Moment wenn es fließt und alles andere in den Hintergrund getreten ist. Wenn das Spiel fast zur Wahrheit wird, weil die Kontrollmechanismen nur noch unterbewusst die Fäden ziehen.
Wenn das Publikum den gleichen Atem hat oder mit seinen Reaktionen den Puls der Rolle bestimmt. Dieser Moment entsteht nicht jeden Abend. Aber für ihn lebt man, leidet man. Seinetwegen liebt man.
